My journey behind the camera began in a small town just south of Waco, TX, where I grew up capturing memories with a simple Polaroid camera on my grandparents’ farm—moments filled with cattle, lush gardens, and the beauty of rural life. Those early days sparked something in me, but my true passion for photography took hold during one of life’s most challenging chapters. While expecting my second child, our first was diagnosed with cancer,  and in those challenging moments, I rediscovered photography in a deep meaningful way. It became more than just a hobby; it was a source of comfort, a creative outlet, and a way to hold onto the fleeting beauty of life’s moments. That experience shaped not only my perspective but also my desire to create images that feel authentic, emotional, and timeless.

When I'm not capturing moments through my lens, you can often find me nurturing my microhomestead—tending to my garden, caring for my lively crew of chickens, four dogs, two cats, and a snake, or embracing life as a homeschool family with my husband and two kids. Together, we share a love for adventure, exploring the great outdoors through hiking, camping, and backpacking, always prioritizing Leave No Trace principles to preserve the beauty of nature. Our outdoor adventures became even more meaningful after our daughter completed her treatment, a milestone that deepened our appreciation for the natural world and inspires my photography to this day.

Now, I pour that heart and perspective into every session I capture, whether it’s an intimate elopement in the mountains, a quiet moment shared between loved ones, or the joyful chaos of everyday life. Having navigated both marriage and motherhood, I understand the quest for authentic memories—photos that feel real, emotional, and timeless. My approach is simple: no forced smiles, just the beauty of life as it unfolds naturally.
