Sentimental at heart, always planning the next trip, and happiest with my family somewhere out west

I’m a wife, a mom of two, and someone who has never been very good at letting a meaningful moment pass without wanting to preserve it. I love slow mornings, family road trips, old home videos, mountain air, and the little things people do without realizing it.

That love of nostalgia is woven into my work through honest documentary photography, timeless film, and the imperfect movement of Super 8. I’ll offer gentle direction when you need it, then leave room for you to be yourselves so your memories feel lived-in.

I started exploring the San Juan Mountains and the mountains of Northern New Mexico more than a decade ago. Long before elopements became part of my work, I was already falling in love with the places that would eventually shape it.

I began my photography journey with families, then moved into weddings when my youngest kiddo finally decided I could be gone for longer than two hours. Even while photographing weddings, my family and I continued taking our yearly summer camping trips to Colorado.

During one of those trips, I photographed my first elopement in the San Juans, and the two parts of my life finally came together. I felt pulled toward documenting wedding days in the wild places I already loved, where couples could slow down, be present, and create an experience that actually felt like them.

HOW I FOUND MY WAY TO ELOPEMENT photography

Back in 2017, my husband and I quietly slipped away to say our vows with just close family . We didn’t have a photographer, just a handful of blurry cellphone photos from that day. They’re sweet, but I can’t help wishing we had more than a few pixelated memories to hold onto.

That experience is part of why I care so deeply about documenting your day beyond the big, polished moments. I know how quickly the little things can fade when no one is there to preserve them. I want to create photographs and films that let you relive how it all felt, not just remember how it looked.

• I grew up in a tiny Texas town where I first fell in love with photography using a Polaroid camera on my grandparents’ farm.
• Before officially picking up my camera, I actually went to college for EMT and then business marketing. Two very different paths that somehow both taught me how to stay calm under pressure and think creatively.
• I’m a wife and mom, and my kids are my favorite adventure buddies. Whether that’s road-tripping out West, hiking, or tending our little backyard homestead.
• I've fixed my vintage Super 8 cameras myself (I’m low-key techy and stubborn when something breaks).
• I have four dogs, two cats, a whole lot of chickens, and a snake (yes, really).
• I’m a firm believer that coffee tastes better on a chilly morning in the mountains.
