Colorado elopement photographer

You chose to elope because you wanted something different. You’re looking for an intimate adventure in the Colorado mountains.

You know your wedding day is about more than beautiful photos. You want an experience you'll actually remember. One where you can slow down, soak it all in, and celebrate your marriage surrounded by Colorado's breathtaking mountain landscapes.

Whether it's just the two of you or your closest family and friends, you want a day that feels effortless. Watching the sunrise over mountain peaks, exchanging vows beside an alpine lake, hiking through wildflower meadows or golden aspens, and ending the evening beneath a sky full of stars. Every part of the day should feel intentional and completely yours.

The only challenge? Figuring out permits, locations, weather, timelines, and all the little details can make planning a Colorado elopement feel overwhelming.

How do we know how much coverage we need?

The amount of coverage you need really comes down to the kind of experience you want and the moments that matter most to you. Whether it's the quiet anticipation as you get ready, an emotional first look, or a post-ceremony adventure, all those pieces tell your full story.
For most elopements, I recommend at minimum 3-6 hours to capture the lead-up, the big moment, and the magic after. Planning something a bit more involved–like multiple locations or an all day adventure? Then 8+ hours is the way to go.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Weather is part of the adventure, and sometimes, it makes your elopement even more magical! Light rain, fog, or snow can create stunning, cinematic moments, and I always come prepared.

If conditions become unsafe or impact your experience, we’ll adjust–whether that means shifting locations, tweaking the timeline, or rescheduling if needed. No matter what, I’ll make sure your day is unforgettable!

How do you hike in wedding attire? And do we have to hike?

You don’t have to hike if it’s not your thing! Eloping is all about creating a day that feels true to you, whether that’s a mountaintop adventure or a scenic overlook just steps from your car.

If you do want to hike, most couples wear comfy clothes and change at the spot, or choose lightweight, adventure-friendly attire. I’ll help plan a route that fits your comfort level and ensure you’re prepared with everything from headlamps to hand warmers. However you envision your day, we’ll make it effortless and unforgettable!

Will you help us find a spot to get married?

Absolutely! Helping you find the perfect spot for your elopement is one of my favorite parts of the process. Whether you picture a mountaintop, a secluded lake, or a meaningful place, I’ll help you choose a location that fits your vision.

I’ll provide personalized recommendations based on scenery, privacy, accessibility, and lighting to ensure the best experience. If you already have a spot in mind, I can help refine the details to make sure it’s just right for your day!

Do we need a permit?

It depends on where you choose to elope!

Many National Parks, State Parks, and some BLM locations require a permit for your ceremony. Don't worry though. I'll help you determine exactly what's needed, walk you through the process, and make sure we plan everything with enough time to secure any required permits.

Do you help us with logistics like vendors and timeline?

Yes! I’ll help you craft a seamless timeline so your day feels natural and stress-free, from the best time for golden-hour vows to planning an adventure-filled experience. While I don’t book vendors directly, I can recommend trusted florists, hair & make-up, and more. I’ll also guide you through locations, permits, and other logistics so you can focus on celebrating your love, your way!

Can we invite family and friends to our elopement?

Your elopement should be exactly what you want. Whether it’s just the two of you or shared with your closest loved ones. If you’d like to include guests, I can help find a location that accommodates them while keeping the intimate, adventurous feel.

We can also create a timeline that balances time with family and private moments just for you two. Whether it’s a small ceremony followed by an adventure or a full-day celebration, we’ll make sure your elopement feels personal and true to your love story!

Do we need an officiant?

In many places, yes, you’ll need an officiant—but it depends on where you're eloping! Some states, like Colorado, allow self-solemnization, while others require an ordained officiant and witnesses.

The good news? I’m an ordained officiant, so if needed, I can legally sign your marriage license while keeping the focus on your intimate experience.
