Even though T & V had already signed their marriage license a few months earlier, they jumped at the chance to explore Silverton, Colorado with me and have their story documented in the San Juan Mountains. After both of them being stationed in Colorado for a few years, they hadn’t yet ventured into the San Juans–and with another military move on the horizon, it felt like the perfect time to celebrate with an adventure session surrounded by waterfalls, hot springs, and sweeping alpine views.

An Evening Hike to Waterfalls
We started the evening with a hike into the San Juans. The trail led us through tall evergreens and fields dotted with a few late-summer wildflowers until we reached tucked-away waterfalls. It was the perfect place for them to slow down, take in the moment, and share private words with each other. The sound of rushing water made it feel like their own secret ceremony spot.
Ending the Day in the Hot Springs
As the sun dipped lower, we made our way to a nearby hot spring. Slipping into the warm, mineral-rich water after a full day of hiking and adventuring felt like the best reward. The mountains towered around them as the sky turned shades of pink and gold. It was the most peaceful way to end a day full of love, adventure, and intention.
